Is Webroot Better Than McAfee?

Both McAfee and Webroot have a great reputation in the field of protecting your computer from malware and viruses. But which one is superior? The answer to this question is contingent on a variety of factors including system performance security, user experience, malware protection, features, compatibility and price.

The most appealing feature of Webroot is its light-on systems software that uses cloud technology and heuristic analysis to keep your computer safe. The antivirus suite is designed to use less system resources compared to traditional anti-virus software in order to not slow down your PC. It also includes various security features, including rapid scanning, LastPass password manager and 25GB of safe online data storage.

Both McAfee & Webroot offer malware protection that can protect your device from phishing attacks, ransomware attacks and rootkits. They also offer spyware, rootkits and many more. However the malware detection system employed by Webroot is more advanced and can block a wider range of threats than the one is found in McAfee. In addition to this, it has a real-time shield and infrared protection system that stops new threats in the early stages of attack.

In comparison to McAfee Webroot offers faster installation and scanning times, lighter system use on devices and less memory use. It also has a clean and elegant interface. It does not have the best McAfee features, like a VPN and password manager. The only thing it has that McAfee does not is its System Optimizer, which clears space on a device through the elimination of junk files and making sure that deleted data isn’t recovered by malware or hackers.
